Anthony "Tony" Zukowski, Jr., formerly of Milltown, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 66.
Born in Perth Amboy, he lived in Milltown most of his life, before moving to South River in 2005.
Tony worked for Grand Union since he was 16 years old. He eventually retired from Shop Rite in West Windsor in 2013.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Milltown. He loved sitting on the porch and talking to the neighbors. He was an avid Pogo player. Tony looked forward to football Sunday's, and enjoyed rooting for his sports teams the Raiders and the Mets.
He's predeceased by his parents Anthony and Mary (Hreha) Zukowski and his sister Catherine Zukowski (d. 1965).
Surviving is his brother Frank Zukowski, and his wife Cheryl, of Florida, his sisters Kathryn Gaffney and her husband Bill, of New Jersey, Donna Zukowski of Hoboken, Joan Zukowski of New Jersey and JoAnne Sisko of South River; his nieces Marybeth Sisko and Mary Gaffney, his nephew DJ Sisko and his fiancé Jackie, his great niece and nephew Ella and Joey Sisko, and many cousins and close friends.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 6th, 11:00 am, at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway. Masks are required. According to Tony's wishes, he wants those attending to wear what they are seen in everyday as it is an ordinary day.
Memorial contributions may be made to the USMC Marine Corps Toys for Tots, Tony says "so little kids have a good Christmas as we did as kids".
