Anthony L. Giliberti, of Toms River, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at Capital Health System in Trenton. He was 60. Born in Queens, NY, he lived in Lodi, Plainsboro and Jamesburg before moving to Toms River 11 years ago.
Tony currently owned Hightstown Automotive Center. Previously he had owned Hightstown Getty and Princeton Exxon. He enjoyed cars, boating and Nascar Races, and especially walking up and down the boardwalk with his grandson Matthew.
Tony enjoyed vacationing to the Bahamas with his family.
He's predeceased by his father Louis Giliberti and his stepmother Gerri Giliberti.
Surviving is his wife of 31 years, Patricia (Scea) Giliberti; his daughter and son-in-law Kimberley and Alex Pollard of Milltown; his grandson Matthew Gerard Pollard; his mother and step-father Barbara and Hugo Egas of Queens; and his sister and brother-in-law Faye and Kurt Smailus of Hicksville, Long Island.
Tony cherished his Staten Island family. He was a loving and caring brother-in-law and uncle. He had loyal friends and customers who cared for him dearly. Tony's grandson was his life. When Matthew started talking he began to refer to Tony as "Bab" and that was it. That was his new name. Family members and customers began to refer to him as Baba. We will miss him!
