Anna Louise Lipovsky (nee Krewinkel) passed away with her loving husband by her side, on Wednesday August 11th, 2021, at the age of 70.
Ann was born on February 14th, 1951 in Woodbridge, NJ. She spent her early years in Iselin, NJ, and later Woodbridge, where she graduated 3rd in her class in 1969. After high school, Ann graduated from Douglass College (Rutgers University) with a double major in Art History and French.
Mrs. Lipovsky held several jobs over the span of her life, from a position as an early computer programmer, to a Milltown Library Assistant, to her most recent job as an Administrative Assistant for the Philosophy Department at Rutgers. She was also a member of The Romance Writers of America, as an aspiring Novelist. Ann was a vocalist in local Rock band, Vinyl Jeopardy. Previously, she was a founding member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Folk Mass Group, The Second Collection. In her lifetime, she was a passionate DIY/Crafter with sewing expertise, an avid traveller, an Art Enthusiast with particular love for the work of Paul Gauguin and Impressionism, a Tennis Player, Expert Team Bowler, Girl Scout Leader, Classroom & Cheerleading Mom, and a PTA Executive Board member at OLOL School. She was a true "Shop 'til your Drop" gal. She was fluent in French and enjoyed using her skills in Paris. She also enjoyed fishing, hiking, and camping, and as a Devout Catholic, served as a long standing parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church. She had a particular love for religious icons and intentions to the Virgin Mary, through daily rosary prayer. Above all else, Ann was a Dear Friend, Sister, Wife, and Mother. Proud to be "Mimi" to her four surviving Grandchildren. She was known for her homemade Apple Pie.
Ann is survived by her husband Albert, Daughter Alexandra Yanosh (Gregory) of Keyport NJ. Alicia Kessell (Michael) of Brooklyn, NY. Alana Lipovsky (Kyle Hussa-Lietz) of Brooklyn, NY. Grandsons, Emerson Yanosh and Alfrid Lietz. Granddaughters, Seren Yanosh and Augusta Lietz.
Ann is also survived by her twin sister, Diana Krewinkel (NJ).
Ann was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Ann Krewinkel (Dobrovolsky), her elder sister Bernice Kocha (John), and Bernice's twin brother, who passed away several days after birth.
Friends and relatives may call on Monday, August 16th, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.
