Aldo G. Tarzia, of East Brunswick, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at home. He was 90. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he moved to East Brunswick 45 years ago.
Aldo served proudly in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans.
Before retiring in 1991, he was a rate manager for Englehard Chemical Co. in Edison. He was a communicant of St. Bartholomew RC Church in East Brunswick. He enjoyed writing poetry, playing the harmonica and was a huge Yankee Fan. He loved dancing and singing, but his passion was his grandchildren who he loved dearly.
He's predeceased by his son Gerard Tarzia (d. 2005) and his brother Robert Tarzia.
Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Virginia (O'Brien) Tarzia; his daughter Maryrose Toto of East Brunswick; his daughter-in-law Robin Tarzia of Ambler, PA; his sister Yole' Bona; and his beloved five grandchildren Kelsey, Luke and Claire Tarzia, and Kyle and Dominique Toto.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 25th, 11:00 am at St. Bartholomew RC Church, 470 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. Burial will follow at Brig General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Park in Arnytown (Wrightstown). Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.
